In Rolla One’s Diet module, you can see a calorie budget that greets you upon each day.
The Calorie Budget screen calculates your daily calorie intake goal by combining your Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR), the average calories burned through activity over the past seven days, and your weight management goals.
For first-time users, the average active calories start at zero and will update as you log your daily activity. This personalized approach helps you manage your weight by providing a tailored daily calorie target based on your unique metrics and goals.
There are two things to remember here:
💛 The BMR (RMR) field is auto-calculated based on the user's parameters.
💛 The daily goal is not editable and is auto-calculated based on the goal.
From the home screen, the user can view the information about their budget which contains the remaining budget along with the weekly view of budget streaks.
A streak is considered each day in a row that the user has stayed within their dedicated budget if losing weight, or hit the target budget if gaining weight.
A streak is broken if the user fails to meet their target or if the budget hasn't been confirmed for that day.
To understand the calculations a little bit better, here’s a rundown:
💛 Lose Weight = RMR (x) + 7D Avg Active (y) - Goal (z)
💛 Gain Weight = RMR (x) + 7D Avg Active (y) + Goal (z)
💛 Maintain Weight - Can use both of the above formulas, depending on whether the user is above or below their target weight.
